Dear Friends and Ministry Partners,
The past few weeks have been an incredible season of ministry, Filled with stories of freedom, healing, and strongholds being torn down. Today, we want to share a small snapshot of what God has been doing this past month through Freedom In Jesus Initiative by highlighting two recent testimonies.
Freedom from Anxiety and Shame
An overwhelmed woman with several young children reached out for help with ongoing anxiety. We spent more than two hours together, and during our conversation, the Lord highlighted several key issues, including ongoing relational strain with family members. This had affected the way she viewed herself and, ultimately, had impacted her ability to receive God’s love.
She had believed the lie that she would never be good enough to be fully accepted and loved by God. She carried significant shame over past mistakes, which was fueling insecurity in her daily life.
During our time together, she renounced the lies that she was not enough and unworthy of love. She embraced God as her Father and received the love of Jesus as the covering for her shame. She also broke unhealthy soul ties with relatives whose toxic influence had been affecting the way she viewed herself.
Since our meeting, she has experienced the freedom to establish healthy boundaries with these relatives, along with a renewed confidence to live as a loved daughter of God—free from the anxiety and shame that had previously defined so much of her life.
Freedom from Burdens and Trauma
We were also contacted by a young family whose oldest child had been struggling with extreme temper flare-ups, emotional outbursts, and fits of rage. We met with both the parents and their daughter and began to explore what had changed.
Through our conversations, we discovered that this behavior was very uncharacteristic of her, with the significant change occurring within the past year. Her struggles had begun shortly after her mother experienced a major health scare and emergency hospitalization.
The child had become increasingly defiant while also developing an intense emotional attachment to her mother, to the point that she could barely leave the room where her mother was. Through prayer and conversation, the Lord revealed that her behavioral struggles were rooted in trauma and fear surrounding her mother’s hospitalization.
She had taken on a sense of responsibility for caring for her mother, her younger siblings, and herself. She pictured these responsibilities as three heavy, loaded backpacks that she was carrying.
Hebrews 12:1–2 says, “…let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith…”
We led her in a simple prayer of surrender, verbally trusting Jesus with the well-being of herself, her siblings, and her mother. When she nished praying, she joyfully announced, “I feel relieved!”
A few days later, her mother messaged us: “It’s like I have a different kid!”
Praise the Lord for this young woman’s freedom and for a family that is now able to experience greater peace and harmony together.
Jesus still Saves, Heals, and Delivers!
Just in the past month, we have seen people freed from years of drug addiction, marriages restored, individuals finding freedom from lust and sexual bondage, people delivered from depression and suicidal thoughts, and so many other powerful encounters with Jesus.
These stories are why we do what we do.
Every week, men, women, and children come to us desperate for hope and longing to encounter God. And every week, we have the privilege of watching Jesus meet them right where they are.
The best part is that we provide these ministry sessions completely free of charge.We never want someone’s financial situation to prevent them from receiving prayer, ministry, and the opportunity to encounter the freedom found in Jesus.
